Another possibility is using e.g. a script offered by Google: analytics. Add a reference to the script code at the bottom of your site(s) and be able to thoroughly examine the visits.

We all know about YouTube, the site that allows us to see video online and to use that video on our own website, by copying and inserting one line of code.
In fact the video file (myvideo.avi), once uploaded, is transformed to a Flash animation (youtube123.swf), which can be viewed when you have the Flash-plugin installed. Transformed to Flash because of the widespread usage of plugin, and because otherwise, clicking on a link to a video file would trigger your (external, not in site) mediaplayer software; the Flash extension of your browser on the otherhand makes it possible to plug the video in the site.
So if you want video files on your own site, use YouTube or alike if you're ok with the logo and added player-controls, otherwise use an avi2swf program, and integrate a clean Flash file.
